CPS

The function of camshaft position sensor (CPS) is to collect position signal of camshaft, and send it to ECU, so that ECU can identify compress TDC of cylinder 1, to control sequential petrol injection, timing and deflagration. Besides, CPS is also used to identify the first timing when an engine starts. Because CPS is able to sense which piston is about to reach TDC, it is also called cylinder identification sensor.
