MAP

Manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP), is connected to intake manifold by a vacuum hose. It senses the vacuum pressure inside manifold when engine load varies, a resistor inside the MAP will change when pressure changes, it translates the pressure signal into a voltage signal, so that ECU can adjust dosage of petrol and timing angle.
