CTS

Coolant temperature sensor (CTS) translates temperature signal of coolant into voltage signal, and sends it to ECU.

ECU will:

1, adjust dosage of petrol injection: dosage will increase when temperature is low;

2, adjust timing angle: increase timing angle when temperature is low, and decrease timing angle to avoid knock when temperature is high;

3, impact on idle speed control valve: when coolant temperature is low, ECU will activate idle speed control valve to increase RPM;

4, impact on EGR valve;
